ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

Look no further if you want to add some action packed Adventure Activities into your holiday or business schedule. We can arrange anything from a scenic Helicopter flight, to facing your fear of heights with a Tandem Paraglide, or taking the plunge and getting up close with a number of Sharks. 

Booking is essential for most of the activities especially in the peak seasons!

We do not add any extra fees to the cost, but can arrange a laundry service if your adventure has been too much to stomach! 

PLEASE NOTE THAT MANY OF THESE ACTIVITIES CAN BE VERY WEATHER DEPENDENT SO ALLOW FOR A FEW BAD WEATHER DAYS IN YOUR SCHEDULE. ADVANCE BOOKINGS ARE RECOMMENDED DUE TO LIMITED NUMBERS ON SOME EXCURSIONS.

Helicopter Flights

Experience the Mother City like never before! Guaranteed breathtaking views while you either take in a Scenic flight, hop across to the Winelands in style for a lunch and wine tasting, or step up the action with a Low Level Adrenaline Flight. Trips can be tailor made to suit your needs.

Tandem Paragliding

Non motorized flying at its best! For an unforgettable flying experience, requiring no experience and as little as 1 hour of your time, take off with an experienced guide from Lions head or Signal Hill and go Paragliding! Nearly anyone can be flown. The companies are disabled friendly, having taken wheelchair-bound paraplegics, children from as young as 6 years old and passengers up to 135kg in weight, so literally, almost anybody can take to the skies. Easy take offs from the mountains in and around Cape Town and safe landings on the beaches and winelands. Tandem motorized paragliding is also a great way of seeing the peninsula. Flights along the Atlantic seaboard will give you a great bird's eye view of the coastline, the mountains and beaches below. Paragliding is very weather dependent so book your place early.

Skydiving

100% Exhilarating and NO Experience required! 30 minutes outside of Cape Town. A tandem jump from over 9000ft will get your pulse racing while you take in the views across the bay to Table Mountain. You'll be in Royal company as this is where Prince Harry did his Tandem Skydive! Optional Extra: Have your moments occasion filmed by the pros so that you'll be able to watch your jump again, once you have caught your breath!

Sea Kayaking

Paddle with Dolphins, Whales and Seals. Within 5 minutes of the Dolphin Inn you can hop aboard a Sea Kayak (solo or tandem) and be surrounded by pods of endemic Heaviside Dolphins, Cape Fur Seals, Whales, Penguins and Sunfish! Not to mention the masses of gulls and cormorants who may dive bomb around you in a feeding frenzy! You'll get right up close to many of these beautiful marine creatures. Trips are available for all experience levels, safety is paramount and the guides have years of experience. These trips are very weather dependent so book early! Highly recommended and you'll get to see Table Mountain from an Oceanside view!

Sharks & Whales

Dispel that myth of the Man-eating monster shark in "Jaws"! Book a Shark Cage dive with a reputable, experienced Shark Cage diving operator who will not only get you up close with these magnificent ocean creatures in their natural habitat, but also give you an educated insight into their behavioral patterns. No experience is required and surface viewing is also an option.

For experienced, certified divers, there are options to dive with Mako, Blue and Seven Gill Cow Sharks, or go snorkeling with the curious and playful Cape Fur Seals. 

Boat based Whale watching trips are also available where you will learn more about these gentle giants - both Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales.

Surf & SUP

Cape Town's Surf and SUP scene has something for everyone from beginners to advanced surfers. Ideal beginner surf and great Instructors at iconic Muizenberg beach will get you up and riding in no time. Surfing lessons available for young and old. Boards and wetsuits are included and also available for daily rental.More experienced surfers will have plenty to choose from. Highly recommended to book a Surf Guide to get take you to some hidden spots or if you have time, to book a tour up the coast to the famous J-Bay! Dedicated Surf Tours can be arranged.

Be prepared for an experience that could get you hooked for life. Group or individual lessons can be arranged. Be Warned - Surfing is Addictive!

Hikes and Bikes

Table Mountain has a myriad  of Hiking, Climbing and Mountain Biking routes for all experience levels. Whether it's adrenalin packed single track or a

winelands bicycle meander, the city has it all! Cape Point is ideally explored on one of the bicycle tours available - suited for the whole family - Or venture further afield to the Cederberg Mountains or Stellenbosch, where expert guides will show you the best trails suited to your experience and fitness levels.The city itself also caters for bicycles with it's ever increasing, designated  cycle lanes. Bicycles are readily available for hire. Table Mountain offers hundreds of trails to walk and routes to climb, with easy access from the city and routes to suite all ages and fitness levels. Never underestimate the potential hazards and constantly changing Cape weather but with the right preparation, you'll spend days exploring! We can recommend guides who will also provide great local insight into indigenous fauna and flora. If you're looking for something less energetic - a tour around the Peninsula or a Harley Davidson or a Sidecar adventure could be just the thing! The winding coastal roads are ideally explored by motorbike. You can also set out further afield to explore the countryside on an Adventure Motorbike ride - guided and self drive options are available.

Abseil and Ziplines

The World's Highest Commercial Abseil! Step off the top of Table Mountain at 1000m above sea level and descend into a 112m controlled abseil at this World Heritage Sight. Once again - awesome views that would be hard to beat. "The Hoff" was brave enough to step over the edge in 2011 - are you? Bring the family for 2,3km

of heart wrenching zip line, while experiencing some of the most scenic vantage points in the Cape Peninsula. Minimum age of 6 and average fitness required! Start your journey down a large canyon on one of the shorter cables- 270 meters- in between the Cape Floral kingdom. 
The tour itself consists of 7 cables The Highest Cable from the ground in the canyon is 155 meters from the canyon floor.

See the Big 5  

No trip to Africa is complete without seeing the BIG 5! Experience a day or an overnight Safari in the beautiful Karoo, once hunting ground of the traditional Khoi / San hunter-gatherers. All within 2 hours of Cape Town. See the Big 5 with  a variety of options including traditional game drives,  horseback safaris and quad bikes. Malaria Free zone! Transport can be arranged by car or helicopter!
